Round, flat leaves on long, thin stalks that all grow from one central stem. Each leaf has a small pale dot where the stalk joins it. The leaves are mid-green and slightly glossy.
Water when the top few centimetres of soil are dry. If you forget, the leaves droop, and they stand up again within a day of watering. Give it bright, indirect light and turn the pot now and then, because it leans towards the window. Keep it above 12 °C.
Grows fast in spring and summer, into a round plant about 30 cm tall and wide. Healthy plants send up small pups from the soil around the stem. Cut them off with a bit of root and pot them up to keep or give away.
Native to the mountains of southwest China. Non-toxic to cats and dogs. Ships in a 6 cm pot.
Pot & delivery
All plants are shipped without the outer pot, in 6 cm plastic nursery pots. The decorative pots in the photos are not included.
