Narrow, wavy leaves in light green with oval holes. Even young leaves like this one already have holes, and each new leaf has more.
Water when the top few centimetres of soil are dry. Bright, indirect light is best. It also copes with a darker spot, but grows more slowly there. Normal room temperature is fine: keep it above 15 °C and add some humidity if the air is very dry.
Fast grower and a climber. Give it a moss pole or a small trellis to grow upwards, or let the stems trail from a shelf. After a few years it reaches a metre or more of vine, and the leaves get bigger and have more holes as it climbs.
Native to Peru. Toxic to cats and dogs if eaten. Ships in a 6 cm pot.
