Heart-shaped green leaves with oval holes. Even young leaves like the ones on this plant already have holes, and each new leaf is a little bigger with more of them.
Water when the top few centimetres of soil are dry. Bright, indirect light is best. It copes with a darker spot, but grows more slowly there and makes fewer holes. Keep it above 15 °C and add some humidity if the air is very dry.
Fast grower and a climber. Give it a moss pole or a small trellis to grow upwards, or let the stems trail from a shelf or a hanging pot. After a few years the vines can pass 1.5 m. Cuttings root easily in a glass of water.
Native to the rainforests of Central and South America. Toxic to cats and dogs if eaten. Ships in a 6 cm pot.
