A variegated form of Alocasia 'Frydek'. The arrow-shaped leaves are marbled in white, pale green and dark green, and some come out almost completely white. Every leaf has a different pattern.
Water when the top few centimetres of soil are dry, and never leave it standing in water. Give it bright, indirect light: the white parts can't feed the plant, so a dim spot weakens it. Keep it above 18 °C, in humid air. Leaves that are almost all white die back sooner than the others. That is normal.
Grows upright and slowly, slower than the plain green 'Frydek' because of all the white. Each new leaf is usually bigger than the last. In the cool, dark months it can pause or drop a leaf, then regrow in spring. Over the years it can reach 60 to 90 cm.
Native to the rainforests of the Philippines. Toxic to cats and dogs. Ships in a 6 cm pot.
