A shrubby Begonia with long, narrow leaves that end in a point. The leaves are olive green with dark red spots and a toothed red edge.
Keep the soil lightly moist but never wet: water when the top starts to feel dry. Bright, indirect light, out of direct sun. It needs humid air. Dry room air browns the leaf edges, so a bathroom, a group of plants or a terrarium suits it. Keep it above 15 °C.
Grows steadily into an upright shrub about 40 cm tall. It flowers often, with small pale pink flowers that hang below the leaves.
Native to Sabah, on Borneo, where it grows on limestone in light shade. Toxic to cats and dogs. Ships in a 6 cm pot.
