On 'Variegata' the leaves are marbled in cream, pale green and dark green, and some come out almost completely cream. The stems are pale green with dark spots. Every leaf has a different pattern.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWater when the top few centimetres of soil are dry, and never leave it standing in water. Give it bright, indirect light: the pale parts can't feed the plant, so a dim spot weakens it. Keep it above 18 °C, in humid air. Leaves that are almost all cream die back sooner than the others. That is normal.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGrows upright at a steady pace, a little slower than the plain green form because of the variegation. Each new leaf is usually longer than the last. In the cool, dark months it can pause or drop a leaf, then regrow in spring. Over the years it can reach about 90 cm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNative to the rainforests of New Guinea.
